SCORES of married Irish people are now playing away from home and it
is people in high-powered jobs who are more likely to cheat on their partners
than anybody else.
Recent figures have revealed that more than one-in-10 couples who are
married or living together in Ireland have a secret affair in mind whether
they’re in one, planning one or have already had one.
Website illicitaffairs.com which published the latest statistics claims
the top-10 professions most-likely to have an affair are: Executives,
successfully self-employed people, men and women who work in sales and
marketing, healthcare, IT and communications, accounting, construction,
engineering, the legal sector and human resources.
Despite the risks hundreds of Irish people are now turning to the internet
to find willing partners for an illicit affair. Husbands, wives, and even
attached pregnant women are all logging-on to appeal for anyone who is
interested in having a clandestine liaison.
A spokesman for the website who have just registered a Wicklow woman
in her mid-30s as their 250th member says that there is a growing demand
in Ireland for the services it offers.
He said: “We have had around 200 more Irish people join our site
since the middle of last year. The figures have just gone vertical in
the past few months. It may be that there are just a lot of very frustrated
Irish people out there.
“And our clients aren’t just from Dublin. They come from rural
Ireland as well. Two weeks ago we had five people from Kerry join in the
space of two days. And these are very normal people; they’re the
type you’d see strolling around your local supermarket.” |
