| Irish girls weave a fashion web
By

TWO Irish girls are putting their fashion sense to good use with a new
website the first of its kind in London.
The www.youlovefashion.com website is London’s first online designer
sample sale diary and vintage shop directory and is the brainchild of
Irish sisters Roísín Wilson and Sinéad Hemsley.
The girls who are living in Wandsworth Common developed the site which
tells people where all the best sample sales are in the capital.
It also offers an interactive sales-ratings system combined with articles
and reviews of London’s most-exclusive designer events and vintage
boutiques.
Subscribers to the website can log on free of charge to receive regular
updates on when their favourite designer is having a discounted sale or
exclusive fashion event.
This is combined with the first-ever directory of London’s ever-changing
vintage scene.
Roísín said: “Having work-
ed in the press and media for a number of years I often come across unusual
fashion events and sales. This combined with my love of vintage shopping
ensured I was living and breathing fashion.
“I found these events were often only for those in the know and
the quality of the sales differed enormously. I wanted a resource that
told me where to go, what to get, average prices and most importantly
was it worth it. Following pressure from friends and colleagues I decided
to publish my insider knowledge online.”
Sinéad added: “Like most shoppers I loved designer labels
but not the designer price tag.
“The more I learned about the fashion industry the more I asked:
Why does anyone pay full price for anything? I jumped at the opportunity
to share what I knew about sales and boutiques with my fellow fashion
lovers.”
