Sinn Féin to visit London SENIOR Sinn Féin
representatives will be in London this week to address a conference on
Irish unity.
Barry McElduff and the party’s National Co-ordinator Eibhlin McElduff
will give talks to the Irish Unity conference at the Camden Irish Centre.
With Sinn Féin firmly established as the largest nationalist party
in the North of Ireland and recent changes to allow MPs elected to Westminster
in the North to attend committees of the Dáil, the conference will
discuss how to build support within Britain for the reunification of Ireland.
Delegates are expected to be in attendance from all across the country,
including London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Glasgow.
As well as Barry McElduff MLA and Eibhlin Glenholmes, speakers include
Councillor Billy Leonard — a former member of the RUC who joined
the SDLP and has since moved to Sinn Féin where he was re-elected
as their first councillor on Coleraine Council.
The conference which is organised by the Wolfe Tone Society starts at
3.30pm on Saturday November 17 at the Irish Centre on Murray Street.
