Strangford

Strangford named by the Vikings, from Strangford, over 1000 years ago is a small picturesque village on the shores of Strangford Lough. Once a busy port, Strangford is now home to Car Ferry Service, from and to Portaferry its neighbour. Accommodation is situated locally and fish is the speciality of the area from Strangford Lough. Nearby is the unusual facade of Castle Ward, home to the Bangor family.
